Alvin Law is one of Canada’s first “Thalidomide Babies,” infants born with birth defects caused by the infamous morning sickness medication. Alvin was born without arms. He was also given up for adoption at five days of age. But his life path was altered by foster parents who gave Alvin a home, taught him to use his feet for hands but more importantly, never allowed Alvin to blame anyone or make excuses! “There’s No Such Word As Can’t” was the mantra Alvin embraced. He played trombone in the school band, plays the drums and piano and even drives a car with no adaptive equipment. Today, he’s married, a dad, a bestselling author and a world-class, Hall of Fame, Canadian Motivational Speaker!
